Navigating the end-of-life journey can feel overwhelming, but End-of-Life Doula, Mystery in Butte, MT, provides compassionate guidance, support, and resources every step of the way. The founder, a 39-year-old mother of two, has experienced significant personal loss throughout her life, which inspired her calling to provide this sacred work. Her lifelong role as a trusted support for friends and family during times of grief shaped her understanding of the emotional and practical needs involved in end-of-life planning, pre-need planning, and final arrangements. End-of-Life Doula, Mystery offers comprehensive death care and transition support services, assisting individuals and families with both logistical arrangements and emotional guidance. She provides death certificate assistance and helps clients navigate essential documentation, ensuring that all necessary legal and administrative matters are handled smoothly. Memorial service arrangements, burial or cremation coordination, and funeral planning assistance are also provided, reflecting each client's unique values and wishes.

Emotional support is a central part of her work. She provides grief support, bereavement support, and access to grief counseling referrals, helping clients and families navigate their feelings without judgment. Every individual receives a tailored experience, with mental and emotional care offered through a holistic, compassionate approach. She also supports those choosing M.A.I.D. (medical aid in dying) and other end-of-life options, always respecting spiritual and personal beliefs. The doula is professionally trained through the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA). Services are accessible, with sliding scale fees starting at $50 per hour, and she is committed to assisting those with limited resources. As the only end-of-life doula in Butte, MT, she serves as a guide, advocate, and companion, helping every client navigate this sacred transition with dignity, respect, and individualized attention. How did your journey into this work begin?

My path to this work began when I was eleven years old. My great-grandmother was in the hospital, dying and afraid. I sat beside her, held her hand, and reassured her that she did not have to be scared or continue suffering. She passed within a week.

That moment stayed with me for the rest of my life. Since then, I have naturally been the person friends and family turn to during grief and loss. Becoming an INELDA-certified end-of-life doula was not a career change — it was a homecoming. This work is deeply sacred to me, and I feel honored to walk beside others through it.

What can families expect when working with you?

Families can expect authenticity, compassion, patience, and honest support. I believe every person deserves to feel respected, heard, and supported during their journey.

I work with individuals from all walks of life and honor every belief system and tradition without judgment. My role is never to take over, but to walk beside you, offering guidance and support while always respecting your autonomy and wishes.

I believe this work is sacred, and I consider it a privilege to be trusted during such meaningful moments in a family's life.
